Trust, privacy and data handling

Your professional information deserves clear, careful handling.

This policy explains how Jobkar Workspace handles information across company profiles, jobs, candidates, applications and communication—and the choices available to people who use the service.

Section 01

1. Scope and service responsibilities

This policy covers your visit to public Workspace pages and your use of the account-based hiring product. It explains what information may be handled, why it is used, when it can be visible to other people, and how to raise a privacy question.

Jobkar Workspace provides tools for publishing company and job information, discovering professionals, reviewing applications, coordinating supported conversations and managing support requests. When an employer or recruiter chooses what to publish or how to use candidate information, that user or organisation may have responsibilities of its own under applicable privacy and employment laws.

Section 02

2. Information you provide

Depending on the features you use, information may include your name, email address, phone number, account identifiers, selected role, professional profile details, skills, work history, education, company information, job descriptions, requirements, salary information, locations, application records, resume links, messages, recruiter proposals, notifications and support ticket content.

Only submit information that is relevant to the professional purpose. Do not put passwords, authentication codes, payment credentials, confidential third-party information or unrelated sensitive personal details into job descriptions, profiles, messages or support free-text fields.

Section 03

3. Information collected through use

When you access the service, technical systems may process information required to deliver a page or action, such as the time of a request, page or route requested, browser and device characteristics, network information, error events and security logs. Some information is processed automatically by hosting, authentication and delivery infrastructure.

Optional website analytics is controlled through the public cookie preferences panel. The analytics script is not loaded by this site’s consent loader unless analytics has been enabled. Analytics configuration and provider practices can change; the Cookie Notice explains the current site-level choice.

Section 04

4. Sources of information

Information generally comes from you when you register, update a profile, create a company record, publish a job, send a message, submit an application or contact support. In a hiring workflow, an employer or recruiter may also submit job or company information and receive information you choose to share through an application or professional interaction.

Authentication providers and technical service providers may return session or account information needed to complete sign-in and keep the service secure. The information returned depends on the provider and the permissions used in that flow.

Section 05

5. Purposes for processing

Information may be used to create and maintain accounts; authenticate users; apply role-based access; show company and job information; support candidate discovery and application review; deliver supported messaging and notifications; maintain membership access; respond to support requests; diagnose errors; prevent fraud, spam and abuse; protect service integrity; comply with legal requirements; and improve the reliability and usability of the product.

We aim to use information relevant to these purposes and avoid requesting information that is unnecessary for a feature. If a new purpose materially changes how information is handled, the applicable notice or product flow should explain it before the new processing begins where the law requires.

Section 06

6. Profiles, applications and visibility

Company profiles and job listings may be visible to visitors or users who can access those features. A resume, application, contact detail or other information you submit to a hiring organisation may be available to the relevant people working on that hiring process. Information shared in a message or recruiter collaboration workflow is available to the participants and service systems needed to deliver it.

Review a profile, job listing or application before submitting or publishing it. Do not assume that information entered into a public profile or shared with a hiring organisation will remain private from the recipients of that feature. Visibility also depends on the product functionality, access controls and information made available by the account holder.

Section 07

7. Sharing and service providers

Information may be processed by providers that help run the service, including hosting and infrastructure, authentication, security, support, communication, and—only if enabled through the site’s preference controls—website analytics. Providers should receive information relevant to their task and may process it under their own terms or contractual responsibilities.

Information may also be disclosed where necessary to comply with applicable law or valid legal process, address security incidents, investigate suspected misuse, protect users and the public, or establish and defend legal claims. We do not describe this as a sale of personal information; if the service’s practices change in a way that requires a new notice or choice, this policy should be updated.

Section 08

8. International processing and third-party services

Some infrastructure or providers may process information in locations different from where you live. Where applicable law requires protections for a transfer, the service should use the required safeguards. Public pages may link to external websites or services; those services operate under their own privacy notices and controls.

The service depends on network connections and third-party systems for some operations. Jobkar cannot control the independent privacy practices of external websites that you visit directly, and you should review their notices before sharing personal information with them.

Section 09

9. Cookies, local storage and consent

Essential browser storage supports sign-in, session handling, account security and return navigation. These functions may rely on cookies or browser storage from the application and authentication providers. Disabling essential storage can prevent sign-in or interrupt account features.

The public site provides a preference panel with Accept all, Essential only and Preferences choices. Optional analytics remains off unless you enable it. You can reopen the panel using Cookie settings in the public-site footer or from the Cookie Notice page. Your choice is stored in this browser so the preference can be remembered; it is not a replacement for required account records or legal notices.

Section 10

10. Retention and deletion

Information is retained for the period needed to provide the feature, maintain account and hiring records, respond to support requests, protect the service, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. The appropriate period varies by information type and context. Technical logs and analytics records may have different retention practices from account profiles, job listings, applications or support tickets.

Where deletion or correction is available and appropriate, the service may need to retain limited records for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance or dispute handling. Closing an account or removing a public item may not immediately remove copies already lawfully shared with a hiring recipient or records that must be retained.

Section 11

11. Security and responsible use

Technical and organisational measures are used to help protect information, including account access controls and steps to diagnose and address abuse. No website, network transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your authentication methods private, sign out on shared devices, and report suspected account compromise through the available support channel.

Employers and recruiters who access candidate information are expected to use it for legitimate hiring purposes, restrict internal access to people who need it, avoid unauthorized republishing, and handle resumes, contact details and applications under their own legal and professional obligations.

Section 12

12. Your choices and privacy requests

Keep your profile and account information accurate, share only details relevant to a hiring task, and use available product controls to update information. Cookie and analytics choices can be changed from Cookie settings. Browser controls can also clear stored site data, although doing so may sign you out.

Depending on the law applicable to your situation, you may be entitled to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or raise a grievance. Submit a privacy-related request through the public Support Centre and identify the account or information involved without including your password or one-time codes. We may need to verify identity before acting and may be required to keep certain records.

Section 13

13. Children and professional use

Jobkar Workspace is designed for professional networking and hiring, not for children. Do not create a profile, publish personal information or submit candidate data in a way that violates age-related requirements or other applicable law.

If you believe personal information has been submitted inappropriately, contact support and explain the page or workflow involved. Please do not include unnecessary sensitive information in that request.

Section 14

14. Changes to this policy

This policy may be revised when product functionality, provider arrangements, operating practices or applicable requirements change. The current version and its last-updated date appear on this page. If a change requires a separate notice or renewed choice, the relevant product flow should present it.

Section 15

15. Contact and escalation

For questions about this policy or to raise a privacy concern, visit the public Support Centre. For a request related to an account or hiring record, sign in and use the workspace support workflow where possible. State the type of request, the affected page or feature, and a safe way for the support team to respond.
